Not All Arabs are failures, we have inventors,doctors and successful businessmen
Just to be fair after I painted a dim, grim and dark picture over the failure of the Arabs in the Olympics with the poor and shameful results and Dr.Shiekh Yousef Qardawi even painted a dimmer and darker picture over the Arabs lacking in technology and in failing to pace the world in development and inventions, now we have to give back something to the Arab world, I will profile a dozen of very successful Arabs,Doctors,Inventors and researchers,businessmen and actors. some of those the entire world owes them a thank u. I will start with:
Dr. Michael Dabakey :was a world-renowned American heart surgeon, innovator, medical educator, and international medical statesman. DeBakey was the chancellor emeritus of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas,he was the inventor of a pump that allowed the first open heart surgery ,he was considered the best heart surgeon in the 21st century,he was honored by president Nixon.
Dr. Phillip Salem, an oncologist and the director of the Cancer Research Program at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. since 1992, he has also worked as a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Throughout his career, Salem has contributed to cancer research and treatment, providing some pioneering studies in the field. Salem is close with president George Bush Sr(the father).
Dr.George Abu Joudeh, an inventor and part of the blue brain project, resides in Swizerland, part of a research with Duke university in the USA, he also organized a project in Brazil for 1000 poor children to involve them in lab research and teach them at an early stage, he recruited some of the best doctors and professors to be part of this project.
Elias James Corey is an American organic chemist. In 1990 he won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry "for his development of the theory and methodology of organic synthesis", specifically retrosynthetic analysis. Regarded by many as one of the greatest living chemists, he has developed numerous synthetic reagents, methodologies, and has advanced the science of organic synthesis considerably.
Christa McAuliffe, Teacher and Astronaut. Was one of the seven crew members on board the space shuttle Challenger .
Now lets shift to movie and entertainment industry, movie stars,singers,dancers and directors:
Omar Sharif, his real name is Michael Shlahoub , a famous Hollywood actor starred in Lawrence of Arabia and Dr. Zhivago, a legend in the movie industry.
Danny Thomas, a famous actor and comedian in the 50's and 60's, he starred in many films, but besides being a known and successful actor he was a generous philanthropist, Thomas founded the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1962. The hospital has treated thousands of children for childhood cancers. Thomas was one of the original owners of the Miami Dolphins,President Ronald Reagan presented Thomas with a Congressional Gold Medal honoring him for his work with St Jude's Hospital.
Yousef Shahin, a very famous movie director , one of the best in the Arab world and among the best in the entire world in this field of movie production, he has 100's of movies that he produced in Egypt ,with the best actors and actresses, well respected and well known.
Joseph Barbera - Creator of the Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest, Space Ghost, Yogi Bear and many other world renowned cartoons .sorry he did not contribute to the Hammas TV cartoons.LOL

Carlos Slim a tycoon in telecommunication in Mexico and Latin America ,he is the richest man in the world with a net worth of $60 Billion, and no he is not a Saudi shiekh that inherited or had couple oil fields, he is a smart and hard worker and a good businessman.
Carlos Ghosn , Nissan and Renault CEO and president, this intelligent and sharp businessman turned around the company from a failing co to a very successful and profitable company and the third largest auto maker in Japan.
George Maloof, the recent owner of the Sacramento Kings basketball team (NBA), he is also the owner of the Palm hotel and casino in Las Vegas, he also owns tv entertainment movie and music production company, and Maloofs have exclusive proprietorship rights to the distribution of Coors, Miller, Corona, Heineken, Tecate, Boston Beer Company, Red Bull, and Guinness products throughout New Mexico. The Maloof Companies is one of the largest single shareholders in Wells Fargo Bank.

Now lets move to famous writers,poets ,authors,philosophers,reporters and theologians:
Khalil Gibran was a Lebanese American artist, poet, and writer. He is chiefly known for his 1923 book The Prophet, a series of philosophical essays written in English prose. An early example of inspirational literature, the book sold well despite a cool critical reception, and became extremely popular in 1960s counterculture.
Elia Abu Madi published his first collection of poems, Tadhkar al-Madi. That same year he left Egypt for the United States, where he settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1916 he moved to New York and began a career in journalism. In New York Abu Madi met and worked with a number of Arab-American poets including Kahlil Gibran. His second poetry collection, Diwan Iliya Abu Madi, was published in New York in 1919; his third and most important collection, Al-Jadawil ("The Streams"), appeared in 1927. His other books were Al-Khama'il (1940) and Tibr wa Turab (posthumous, 1960).
Helen Thomas (born August 4, 1920) is a Lebanese-American news service reporter, a Hearst Newspapers columnist, and member of the White House Press Corps. She served for fifty-seven years as a correspondent and, later, White House bureau chief for United Press International (UPI). Thomas has covered every president since John F. Kennedy. She was the first female officer of the National Press Club, the first female member and president of the White House Correspondents Association, and, in 1975, the first female member of the Gridiron Club. Now the good part of this entire post / bulletin, yes these are Arab Doctors ,Inventors , actors and successful businessmen,but none is a muslim, they were all CHRISTIAN Lebanese. amazing isnt it? is anyone surprised?
now can u imagine if I include other other Arab christian achievers from Palestine, Jordan,Syria ,Egypt and Iraq, I bet you the list will be several times the size, what does this tell u, how come most achievers are the none muslims in fact the christians and mostly lived in these islamic countries just like everyone else.
